Bernie Sanders Ends 2020 Presidential Campaign

For a brief moment, we really thought Bernie Sanders was going to become the frontrunner of the Democratic party but he was unable to recover after a poor performance in the primaries in South Carolina.

The 78-year-old progressive had a bright future in February, but then the party established a sketchy campaign around former Vice President Joe Biden.

I’m sure this was a tough decision for the Brooklyn native, and a disappointment to voters who were looking forward to bringing “Medicare for all.”

Many of Bernie Sanders’ supporters are young people who witnessed war, the 2008 economic collapse, crippling student loan debt, and now a viral pandemic that is killing hundreds by the day. The people want change but it doesn’t look like the revolution is happening today or tomorrow.

Former Vice President Joe Biden has a 1,217-to-914 delegate lead over Sanders. To be the nominee, a candidate needs 1,991. That means Biden needs just 46% of the remaining delegates to be the nominee; Sanders needs 64%.

Its been a good run, but it’s very unlikely that he’ll run again and we’re “bern’d out.”
