FOX is Reportedly Developing a ‘Family Guy’ Live-Action Film

Two weeks ago, Twentieth Century Fox investors endorsed a $71.3 billion merger with Disney, in which Fox would surrender control of its film and TV resources. The acquisition has left the Fox group with numerous unanswered inquiries and in addition fears of mass cutbacks and undertaking cancelations.

Be that as it may, underneath all the misery was some fascinating news around one of Fox’s greatest hits. As indicated by the WSJ, the studio is contemplating on developing a Family Guy feature film that is rumored to be half live-action and half animated. This certainly sounds promising.

The Family Guy venture is one of a few Fox TV arrangement that is relied upon to hit the extra large screen, joining the beforehand declared Bob’s Burgers motion picture and The Simpsons 2.

Per WSJ:

[20th Century Fox CEO Stacey] Snider has emphasized a revamp of Fox’s approach to animation, bringing in a new partner to replace an expired deal with DreamWorks Animation after it was acquired by Comcast Corp. The film studio is partnering with the Fox television studio on a big-screen adaptation of the animated series Bob’s Burgers, a second Simpsons movie in development, and a Family Guy film that would mix animation with live action, said people with knowledge of the projects.

Bob’s Burgers is set to hit theaters in 2020, while The Simpsons sequel and Family Guy live-action film have not received release dates. Although reports of these alleged movies are gaining traction, there’s no telling if these projects will ever see the light of day.
