The 21-year-old detailed her abusive relationship with the singer, leaving many wondering why she didn’t come forward before. She had the perfect opportunity when she sat down with Gayle King following R. Kelly’s explosive interview.
Clary and Savage joined forces to defend their former lover, and Azriel backtracked saying it was all a lie.
In an interview with The Sun, Azriel claimed the Pied Piper was verbally and physically abusive during their relationship.
TMZ caught up with the world-renowned journalist and we’re glad to see that she’s still supportive of the young woman. “I think she’s very young, and we really do just want her to be ok, and I really do mean that. At the time when we did the interview, I’m not surprised that she is now saying that she wasn’t telling the truth. Now, I just want her to be ok, I really do. Whatever it takes to get that.”
Azriel Clary is now reportedly ready to cooperate with authorities and hopes to move on to live a happy, healthy lifestyle.
