Ivanka Trump's Fashion Company is Getting Shut Down

Ivanka Trump’s fashion company is collapsing, as per Page Six. Sources say that it will be shut down “ASAP” and that staff have been informed that they’re being laid off.

In an announcement to Page Six, Ivanka stated, “When we first started this brand, no one could have predicted the success that we would achieve. After 17 months in Washington, I do not know when or if I will ever return to the business, but I do know that my focus for the foreseeable future will be the work I am doing here in Washington, so making this decision now is the only fair outcome for my team and partners.”

Since the inauguration of her dad, President Donald Trump, her line of midpriced shoes, handbags, garments and extras has been dropped by stores including Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Jet.com, DSW, Shoes.com, Belk, ShopStyle and Gilt, as per Business Insider. It was most as of late ejected — in July 2018 — by Canadian chain Hudson’s Bay.

Nordstrom went separate ways with the brand, which was propelled in 2014, as far back as February 2017, refering to “brand performance.” An insider said, “It’s just never recovered since she stepped away from the company.”

Ivanka turned into an official White House staff member in April 2017.

She included that she is “beyond grateful for the work of our incredible team who has inspired so many women, each other and myself included. While we will not continue our mission together, I know that each of them will thrive in their next chapter.”

The organization’s leader, Abigail Klem, stated, “I know that this was a very difficult decision for Ivanka and I am very grateful for the opportunity to have led such a talented and committed team. When faced with the most unique circumstances, the team displayed strength and optimism.”

The line is as yet accessible at Lord and Taylor, Dillards, Bloomingdales, Zappos, Amazon and Von Maur.
