Jay Electronica's TIDAL Listening Session Canceled Amid Coronavirus Concerns

The countdown for Jay Electronica’s debut album has finally begun. People are still skeptical about the rapper actually keeping his word and releasing the project “in 40 days.” But there are reasons to believe that A Written Testimony is actually seeing the light of day soon.

TIDAL announced a three-city listening session all on the same day in Los Angeles, New Orleans, and New York City. But unfortunately, with growing concerns about the Coronavirus, the streaming platform has decided to cancel the listening sessions.

Here’s a statement from TIDAL:

At TIDAL, the health and wellbeing of our employees, members, and artist-partners is our top priority. Based on the guidance of health officials and the growing impact of COVID-19 (coronavirus) around the country, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel all of tonight’s listening events for Jay Electronica’s “A Written Testimony”. We know the artist and our members were looking forward to this event; we were too, and will be listening to the album along with everyone else once available on TIDAL. Thank you to all our members for their understanding.

We don’t blame you if you now have doubts about the album still coming out, but he unveiled the tracklist for the 10-track today. JAY-Z is rumored to be featured on at least 9 songs which basically makes it a collaborative project. Does anybody know Arabic?
