MIDTOWN, Manhattan-
Stephanie Adams, 46, and her son Vincent, 7, were involved in a tragic incident this Friday morning when she took matters in to her own hands.
She leaped from The Gotham Hotel just after 8:30 a.m. on East 46th Street with her son in her arms.
They both plunged on the second-floor balcony, suffered terrible injuries, and died.
Sources have claimed that the woman has been involved in an ongoing domestic issue with her estranged husband.
Both, Mother and son had checked into the hotel Thursday at approximately 6 p.m. and were given a suite on the 25th-floor.
Authorities have an investigation that is underway.
