BET announced the nominations for the 2020 BET Awards, and there’s always someone who is unhappy with the picks. Surprisingly, PartyNextDoor sounded off about presumably about the R&B category.
“When did Black Entertainment Television get so Complex and forget Partynextdoor is the RNB artist of our generation?” he wondered in a since-deleted tweet. “Is it because I don’t wanna be friends? Is it because i put value in the art instead of people? Is it because it’s not the popular opinion? I am BET. I am Complex.”

The OVO singer used his single “The News” to showcase his skill “It’s so disrespectful. Name the songs better then ‘ the news.’ I gave people there biggest hits,” Party wrote who is responsible for Rihanna’s smash hit, “Work” featuring Drake.
“Imagine me making & inspiring the greatest rnb records of our time,” he added in another deleted tweet.
PartyNextDoor released Party Mobile in March, so it’s understandable why he’d expect a nod in this year’s ceremony.
The nominees for Best Male R&B/Pop artist are Anderson .Paak, Chris Brown, Jacquees, Khalid, The Weeknd, and Usher.
Lil Uzi Vert also tweeted about getting snubbed by the BET Awards. “Y’all see how they do ya boy,” tweeted the Philly rapper. “Its because I don’t follow the Rules of HipHop. Its boring.”
