If you don’t know who Saweetie is, you’re going to learn today.

The beautiful half Black, half Filipino viral sensation began her music career uploading “car raps” on Instagram. She would upload 1-minute clips of her rapping over popular beats while sitting in her car.

One day, she spit a hot verse over Khia’s “My Neck, My Back” beat and was convinced to record a full version by her manager. Once she created a full-length version of the record and produced the visuals, the rest was history.

A year ago she was rapping in her car, and now she was blessed to take the stage at the 2018 BET Fan Experience. Miss2Bees caught up with her at the red carpet ahead of the award show and they talked about her breakthrough record, “Icy Girl,” and all the hard work that goes into being a female rapper besides the glamour.
