Shameik Moore couldn’t make his big breakthrough in Hollywood, so he’s taking the route where he hops on social media and puts his foot in his mouth.

The Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse star shared his unsolicited opinion on the George Floyd execution that has the country divided and Minnesota’s police department in flames. “See I have a very strong opinion that the black community hates to hear.. but needs to hear… we need to learn how to deal with police…and or racism…because THIS is the part of the scenario we have failed to fix,” Shameik Moore tweeted. “We have to work on our community before blaming everything on ‘racist’ and police. 1… there is STILL black on black violence that needs to be addressed…and 2.. if we KNOW that the wrong white person could change our whole life with a false accusation… WHY DO WE GIVE THEM THE ENERGY THEY WANT? Give them an inch they WILL take a mile….. We literally know this already. At what point do we look at ourselves and make adjustments?”

Like every other influencer that talks too much on Beyonce’s Internet, he ended up apologizing and went on Instagram live to discuss further.

But the gag was when he suggested that Rosa Parks should’ve taken a cab after she was asked to move to the back of the bus so that a white person can sit in the seat she was already sitting in.

Shameik Moore really said this, but fortunately, 6lack gave him a well-needed message “with love.” He tweeted, “with love, no amount of correction, deference, or silence will change the way we’re viewed & i know you know that. i ain’t in the military and i shouldn’t have to carry myself like i’m speaking to higher authority because cops are just citizens who were employed to be of service.”

The singer added, “hatred/racism a virus & it’ll kill you whether you’re smiling, crying, silent, shouting. doesn’t matter. you know this”
