Tekashi 6ix9ine Requests Probation for Sexual Misconduct Case

Tekashi 6ix9ine has been dealing with personal and legal issues all year, and he’s not trying to go to jail for his 2015 sexual misconduct case.

As per TMZ, the Brooklyn rapper presented a letter to the judge stating that he’d rather get sentenced to four years on probation and attend a youthful offenders program than go to jail.

69 plead guilty to the use of a child in sexual performance three years ago. He was sentenced to two years of probation and wasn’t allowed to be arrested again. He was captured twice in 2018 alone. Once for driving without a license and allegedly assaulting a police officer in May, and another time for choking a teen in a Houston mall in January.

Just last month a Manhattan District Attorney argued that the rapper should be forced to serve one to three years in prison for violating probation. So there’s no telling if his request would be granted.

Tekashi 6ix9ine, who performed with Nicki Minaj at the 2018 Made in America Festivallast weekend, is trying to avoid jail time. His legal counselor, Lance Lazzarro, is apparently contending that 6ix9ine’s probation for the sexual misconduct case actually finished in October 2017—preceding the episodes in both Brooklyn and Houston
