Young Dolph Gives Away $20K to Duke University Workers Who Were Fired for Playing His Music

Its only been Day 1 of the 2018 Rolling Loud Festival, and Young Dolph already has one of the most memorable sets.

The Tennessee rapper gave away $20,000 to a male and female barista, who were both terminated from Duke University for playing the rapper’s music.

Dolph caught wind of the situation and wanted to rectify it in the middle of his performance.

I know y’all familiar with the situation that happened at Duke University the other day, right? They fired two workers in a coffee shop for bumping my shit in the store. Matter fact, I brought them out here, flew them out here, with me. This the kind of shit I do. Keep in mind, that was a VP at Duke University that fired them at work for playing the song ‘Get Paid.’ Check this out. This what we gon’ do. I know for a fact that that VP at that school, he getting money, but he ain’t getting money like Dolph. Until y’all get you a new job, until y’all find you a new job, I got $20,000 for y’all right now.

After that he pulled the bands out of his pocket, gifted it to the former workers, Britni Brown and Kevin Simmons, and went on to sing the song that made this very moment possible, “Get Paid.”

Last year, Dolph put on one hell of a show at the 2017 Rolling Loud Festival, when he performed in a wheelchair after getting shot earlier in the year. Wonder what real life situation he’s going to turn into a positive one next.
