Many continue to express their outrage at radio star Lenard Larry McKelvey AKA Charlamagne tha God, who dished out a half-assed apology for his “rapey” 2015 podcast episode.
The 40-year-old Television Personality talked about drugging and raping a woman back in a 2015 “Brilliant Idiots” podcast with co-host Andrew Schultz.
During the podcast, Charlamagne joked and laughed hysterically as he spoke about putting a sexual stimulant, Spanish Fly, in a woman’s drink and then proceeded to having sex with her while she was very incoherent or wasted as he says.
“You can give a girl Spanish Fly as long as she knows she’s taking it,” Schultz scolded Charlamagne. “I don’t know why I’m explaining this to you, and it makes me a little bit worried,” said Schultz.
In a recent Podcast released on Monday, Charlamagne switched up his story and now claims the woman was aware her drink was spiked with the sexual stimulant, Spanish Fly.
Charlamagne, was arrested on July 2, 2001 and charged with “willfully, unlawfully, and feloniously engage in penile/vaginal intercourse with a 15 year old female child.”
The victim, Jessica Reid, is now 32, asked South Carolina officials to reopen her case, but her request was denied.
Last month, HBO announced it was teaming up with the outspoken radio jock to air a new interview series titled “The Gray Area”.
But the show might be in jeopardy of cancellation before it even airs.
On Monday an HBO representative told Page Six: “HBO is taking a serious look into the information that just surfaced.”
Angry bloggers have vowed to boycott the show if it debuts.

Further, once she was drunk/drugged, he admitted to knowing that she wasn’t all that coherent and functioning at 100%. He then proceeded to laugh and make jokes during the video/podcast about what he did to her. So yes, not only is that some “freak shyt” it’s also rape.”
