The countdown for the highly-anticipated second installment of Coming 2 America is set to be released on March 5th.
The star-studded trailer below shows Prince Akeem, infamously portrayed by Eddie Murphy, going to New York City to meet the son he never met. Akeem’s son resisted but he was hilariously persuaded to head to Zamunda to claim his position as the heir. Queen Lisa is not too content about Akeem’s surprising family addition.
James Earl Jones, (King Jaffe Joffer), John Amos (Cleo McDowell), and Louie Anderson (Maurice) reprise their roles in the 2021 film. You will also notice some newcomers like Leslie Jones, Tracy Morgan, Wesley Snipes, Teyana Taylor, and more.
The movie’s soundtrack will be released the same day and is being produced by Def Jam. The leading single, “I’m A King” will be delivered on Friday and features Megan Thee Stallion and Def Jam’s Bobby Sessions.
