The famous rapper, Drake was not amused by the social media prank TravQue prepared for him. His reaction, most understandably, was upset over the “Put it on his tab” prank.
The Insta-Famous TravQue is known for “pulling pranks” on artists, trolling and mimicking them he has made quite a reputation on Instagram. He has done various artists that have included Busta Rhymes, Wacka Flocka, and Dave East. Drake now being his next prank victim.
How did the Drake prank go down
In the video, TravQue approaches the bartender right next to the artist and says “Miss — let me get 2,000 cases of Virginia Black, 40 cases of Bumbu, and three cases of tequila.”
A not amused Drake overhearing the conversation. Because of the hefty prices of said items, it is understandable why not only the bartender reacted like she did but also the artist.
The shocked bartender questions the validity of the offer and adds, “…put it on his tab. He’s got it.”
Continuing on with the now extremely shocked bartender questions this and TravQue begins to rap Drake at this point Drake is shocked and looks less than pleased for being teased. He begins to push TravQue away instantly we know that they do not know each other at all. TravQue continues to insist that Drake “got him” and continues to pursue the prank. It instantly changed to a now clearly upset Drake who pushed the phone away allowing for the video to end. Finally, the Instagram clips end.
Due to the constant need to feel validated and attempt to rise to fame, social media users go above and beyond to gain recognition from trends and other users. Various artists and actors have been parts of “pranks” as such to the point of harassment for followers and clicks.
