Drake's Ordered to Appear in Court for XXXTentacion Murder Case

The defense attorney for suspect Dedrick Willimas believes that Drake is connected to the late rapper’s death due to their past issues.

The defense team for Dedrick Williams, one of the three murder suspects standing on trial, listed a group of artists that could serve as potential witnesses for the trial.

Drake, being one of those listed, is now ordered to sit for a deposition.

Because of the feud that the late XXXTenacion, legally Jahseh Onfroy, defense attorney Mauricio Padilla believes that Drake has something to do with XXXTentacion’s death. To back up that claim, he attempted to subpoena the rapper last month.

However, Drake failed to appear on his previous scheduled deposition date, Jan. 27, and because of this, he’s being ordered to appear on Feb. 24 instead virtually.

He could possibly be held in contempt should he fail to appear again.

Drake’s alleged connection to the murder of XXX comes from past conspiracies going around in 2017 after he posted “If anyone tries to kill me it was @champagnepapi,” on his Instagram story. Later XXXTentacion claimed that his account was indeed hacked.

He was shot and killed four months after in Deerfield Beach, Fla.

Other artists who defense attorney Padilla listed include, Quavo, Offset, Tekashi 6ix9ine, and more.
