March Madness is underway and it’s actually getting mad. After confusing the rappers Future and 2 Chainz for each other, ESPN is gets dragged.
With the annual March Madness tournament just a few weeks away, it seems as though ESPN may have been a little too eager for it to begin. While both rappers, Future and 2 Chainz, have braided hair and albums released in 2020, they’re two very different talents.
Nonetheless, the ESPN social media team has found a way to mix up the two. In a now-deleted Instagram post, ESPN shared attempted to compare Wilt Chamberlain’s 1960s stats to Future’s 2015 performance of his track “March Madness.”
Rather than adding a photo of Future to the set, they instead confuse him with a picture of 2 Chainz. To make matters worse, ESPN’s page even went so far as to tag Future in 2 Chainz’s photo. Prior to taking down the post, it stayed up for a few hours; which was plenty of time for it to be seen by thousands of people.
Since then, screenshots have been flooding Twitter while people began dragging ESPN.

In addition, the mix-up led many to call for ESPN to diversify their social media team.
Like…. I bet their social media manager is 33 year old white woman named Sarah who's never heard a future or 2 chainz song https://t.co/M57etfY6dh
