Kanye West and Drake Free Larry Hoover benefit concert, is set to take place tonight Dec 9th at the LA Coliseum in Los Angeles, California. The concert is meant to “raise awareness and support for Larry Hoover and the cause of prison and sentencing reform. The show will also be the first time West and Drake have appeared together since their feud ended, with the help of J Prince. He spoke with Billboard to discuss the “Free Larry Hoover Benefit Concert” and detailed just how he was able to mend the beef between Drake and Kanye. “We have to start with the name Larry Hoover. He planted the seed,” said Prince.
He continued, “I believe this is going to be imitated and it’s important to be an example to those that look up to you and that meant something to Drake—just the life-saving event wrapped around putting the spotlight on injustice, prison reform, and my brother Larry Hoover.
Larry Hoover Jr spoke out in a interview with The Drea O Show, on Tuesday (Dec. 7). He revealed that his father is unsure about the benefit concert.“Yeah, he’s aware of it [the concert], and he has to be concerned because he doesn’t know how it may affect him,” he explained. “He’s concerned that it may affect him negatively because it’s showing his influence, but his influence is positive.”
“Him being an influential person, it just won’t just disappear,” Hoover Jr. continued. “He can’t make that disappear. But he can make it disappear the fact that he can show that he would never use his influence negatively.”
The concert is set to start at 11pm est. with streaming services such as Amazon Prime and Twitch to run the show on their platforms.
