Jamie Foxx is a well-rounded entertainer who deserves a lot more credit than he gets. The multi-hyphenate has been a national treasure in the Black culture since his In Living Color days, but white people knew who he was after he starred in the Ray Charles biopic, Ray.

He won the Academy Award, BAFTA, Screen Actors Guild Award, Critics’ Choice Movie Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Actor. He starred in countless movies, and he’s a good comedian, but this point of this article is to show love to his under-appreciated music career. In 1994 he released an album called, Peep This under Fox network’s record label, but it wasn’t a commercial success. From the sounds of the intro, it sounds like people weren’t here for his record deal. Two years after the album flopped he went on to star on his own sitcom and he made sure to flex his vocals on the show here and there.

But it’s worth noting that Jamie Foxx is a Grammy-award winning artist despite the rocky start of his music career, and has four albums: Unpredictable (2005), which topped the chart, Intuition (2008), Best Night of My Life (2010), and Hollywood: A Story of a Dozen Roses (2015).

In celebration of a certified hitmaker, we ranked his singles from worst to best.

Fall For Your Type

This song originally surfaced on the Internet as a Drake song then when it was officially released, Drake was featured on it and Jamie was singing on it. That’s the only reason why it got the “worst” spot because Foxx can really do no wrong.

Just Like Me featuring T.I.

This song came out at a time when artists still cared about music videos and starred the beautiful, Taraji P. Henson. T.I. made an unnecessary guest appearance on the record but whatever.

You Changed Me featuring Chris Brown

Jamie randomly released this song five years ago but I never knew I needed him to collaborate with Chris Brown before this.

DJ Play a Love Song featuring Twista

Speaking of beautiful love interests in music videos, he had Eva Pigford starring on this slept on baby-making record. The visuals are nice and dramatic in proper early 2000’s fashion. That Twista and Jamie Foxx collaboration always works like a charm as seen on the rapper’s “Slow Jamz” record featuring Kanye West.

Unpredictable featuring Ludacris

It was kinda hard not to give this record the top spot, but this list is mixed with both facts and opinions. And although I personally love this Ludacris-assisted record, we all know what the number 1 Jamie Foxx record is.

Blame It featuring T-Pain

Even the music video for the classic hit is some epic sh*t. It has heavy star power from Forest Whitaker and Samuel L. Jackson, and features the legendary T-Pain.

Honorary mentions:

Jamie Foxx also had some iconic guest features on Kanye West’s “Gold Digger” and Twista’s “Slow Jamz” featuring Ye as previously mentioned.
