Jay-Z Deletes Instagram Account 24 Hours After Joining

On Tuesday November 2 Jay-Z joined Instagram to promote The Harder They Fall, a new western film that premiered on Netflix on Wednesday November 3. The film which he produced stars Regina King, Damon Wayans Jr, Danielle Deadwyler Zazie Beetz, LaKeith Stanfield and others in lead roles. Along with the film’s official soundtrack where he featured on two tracks ‘Guns Go Bang’ alongside Kid Cudi, which was teased in September, and ‘King Kong Riddim’ with Jadakiss, Conway The Machine and BackRoad Gee. Both tracks were shared last week.

Jay- Z Instagram account gained over 2 million followers overnight including his wife Beyoncé, who was also the only person she followed . But a day later, once the film was officially released, he deleted the account. A visit to his Instagram page is now met with the message: “Sorry, this page isn’t available.”  But apparently this was the second time Jay-Z has opened, and promptly closed, an Instagram account. Back in the summer of 2015, he reportedly launched a short-lived page with the name @hovsince96

Fans reacted to him deleting his account and they definitely agreed with the smart business move.
