King Von and Fivio Foreign linked up for the ultimate drill record, “I Am Who I Am.”

Von is steadily growing in stature daily and one thing he’s made clear is that he’s going to be authentic.

The Chicago and Brooklyn drill artists feed off each other’s energy as they trade bars, sip Hennessy, and ride through the windy city in a Rolls Royce Wraith.

And if I should die, I’m boosting the murder rate / My niggas gon’ slide every day / He been talkin’ that sh*t I can’t wait,” Von spits on the chorus.

Fivio sticks to his usual script with boisterous, catchy lyrics and even pays homage to Pop Smoke.

This link-up is one for the books because the rap sub-genre, Drill, was born in Chicago, raised in London, but skyrocketed to the mainstream once it boomeranged back to the states and came to New York.

What are your thoughts on King Von and Fivio Foreign’s collaboration below?

“I Am What I Am” is the latest video in a busy year for King Von. In August, the rapper shared the poignant video for “How It Go,” a reflective anthem that contemplated the inequities of the criminal justice system.
