Lil Wayne Drops his 13th Studio Album 'Funeral

Words by Elaine Menard

Lil Wayne announced that he was dropping his Funeral project since 2016. But if you’re a Hip Hop fan then you know that he was a bit tied up. But the wait is finally over as Weezy announced on Instagram.

The 24-track collection follows Tunechi’s 2018 Tha Carter V, which was also highly-anticipated and met with mixed reviews. Hard to predict what direction he’ll take us in, since he’s known for his versatility.

Funeral is set to feature superstars like Big Sean, Lil Baby, Takeoff, XXXTentacion and much more. With this guest list, there is bound to be a few hits.

He even squeezed in a 24-second moment of silence on track No. 8 in honor of Kobe Bryant who tragically lost his life in a helicopter crash last week Sunday.
