Megan Thee Stallion Joins Forces With Disaster Relief Organization To Rebuild Houston Following Winter Storm

Megan Thee Stallion reps Houston everywhere she goes and she “knew I had to do something to help my hometown” after the harsh winter storm.

One of the most shocking things of the past year and a half is the winter storm that devastated Texas recently.

The historic tragedy damaged homes and caused electric grid failure, and froze crops, and ruined irrigation systems.

Texas doesn’t even sell winter clothing so people were suffering although some people made light of the situation on TikTok.

Megan Thee Stallion is teaming up with the National Association of Christian Churches (NACC) Disaster Services and U.S. Representative Sheila Jackson Lee to rebuild her Houston hometown after the surprise winter storm.

The Head Hottie’s A-list friends and brand partners are donors to the initiative including her recent “Beautiful Mistakes” collaborator, Maroon 5, “Body” music video co-star, Taraji P. Henson, her record label, 300 Entertainment, as well Fashion Nova, Mielle, Revlon, The Coach Foundation and Dolce and Gabbana.

Relief will begin immediately for the next two years. “Seeing the devastation and hearing the heartbreaking stories that have surfaced, I knew I had to do something to help my hometown,” the 26-year-old rapper said in an official statement. “I am so happy that Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, the NACC and I aligned on the goal of repairing the homes of the elderly and uninsured single moms who are the most vulnerable and often displaced by these kinds of devastating events.”

Megan isn’t the only Houston native providing winter storm relief. Beyonce’s BeyGood announced its winter storm assistance program, meanwhile, Solange will provide relief via Mutual Aid Houston.
