Popeyes announced their partnership with the Hot Girl Coach, Megan Thee Stallion but this restaurant-celebrity deal is unique.
Instead of a limited-time link-up, Megan has been invited as a franchise owner. “I’m appreciative of Popeyes commitment to empowering Black women and look forward to opening Popeyes Restaurants,” she said in a statement. “Teaming up with Popeyes is such a milestone in my journey and evolution as an entrepreneur. I’ve always been a fan of the Popeyes brand and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to join the brand and help create the new Megan Thee Stallion Hottie Sauce for their line-up.”
The central piece of the partnership is the Hottie Sauce, made with honey, cider vinegar, and Aleppo pepper.
Starting as early as October 19th, hot girls and boys can top their Popeyes chicken sandwich with some of Megan’s Hottie Sauce or enjoy it separately.
Megan also designed the merchandise called Thee Heat, including bikinis, long sleeve shirts, hats, tumblers, and Popeyes chicken tenders plush dog toys.
Additionally, Megan Thee Stallion and Popeyes are set to make a six-figure donation to Houston Random Acts of Kindness, a nonprofit dedicated to the betterment of the Houston community.
