The 54-year-old was “found in the living room of his Kent Avenue penthouse by his nephew,” the outlet reports.
The Flatbush native was best known for his role as Omar Little in The Wire and Chalky White in Boardwalk Empire.
He recently starred in Lovecraft Country, which was canceled right before receiving 18 Emmy nominations.

I just had to find my own pain and my own trauma, which was a very painful experience for me.
