Nicki Minaj was hit with a $20 million lawsuit for leaking a reporter’s personal information online while accusing her of harassment.
The rapper stirred up commotion after explaining that she was skipping the Met Gala due to the vaccination mandate.
She added, “My cousin in Trinidad won’t get the vaccine cuz his friend got it & became impotent. His testicles became swollen. His friend was weeks away from getting married, now the girl called off the wedding. So just pray on it & make sure you’re comfortable with ur decision, not bullied”
Reporters nationwide began questioning the validity of her claims and blasted Nicki for “spreading misinformation” and encouraging the anti-vax agenda.
The Queen rapper received backlash from Dr. Fauci, Joy Reid, and Don Lemon.
Lemon said, “The people talking about, ‘I don’t know what’s in the shot’ … You know what they get shots in nowadays? In their rear ends, they’re getting shots to make it bigger. They’re getting shots in their face. They don’t know what’s in Botox. You don’t have to listen to a minority of people who are being harmful to the greater good and who are not acting on logic, reason, and science.”
Nicki claimed her family in Trinidad were being harassed to talk and showed alleged screenshots of the What’s App messages to her cousin. In the midst of her rant, she posted Sharlene Rampersad’s number to which she responded in a series of since-deleted tweets, “When you use your international platform to spread lies, you hurt us. We aren’t some island fantasy you get to bring up if you’re bored.”
After deleting the tweets, Rampersad deleted her Twitter but resurfaced on Instagram announcing that she’s suing Nicki for endangering her child. “Me and my lawyers are suing Mrs. Minaj for 20 million. After she posted my address and put my daughter in danger.”
She wrote in a separate post, “[Minaj] continues to leak my phone number, all of this has already been sent to my lawyers. I’ll be flying into Los Angeles tomorrow.”
But the account has since been deleted.
