Omarion has become the new definition of unbothered after his baby’s mother went public with her relationship with his former band mate, Lil Fizz.
But the singer recently sat down with Vlad TV and of course Vlad had to ask him about the mix up. In a previous clip he explained why he and his ex-girlfriend joined Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood in the first place to give his song “Post to Be” more visibility.
“Because I am a private person I felt like it was a good opportunity and a nice – I wouldn’t say nice platform – but a good platform for me to be able to introduce people into my world a little bit,” he explained. “And also, the record company at the time was not supporting the record. I needed some level of visibility in order to sell “Post To Be.”
The 35-year-old couldn’t make it anymore clear that he’s unbothered about the entire ordeal after steering clear of it on social media for years. “I don’t feel no ways, I don’t feel any way about it. I think that if they’re happy, then they should be happy. I think they should change the narrative, though.”
The narrative in question is that the now public couple is disrespecting him and Fizz’s baby’s mother, Moniece Slaughter.
“She’s still the mother of my children,” the “Ice Box” singer continued. “When something affects her, it affects my kids, and that affects me. But what she does is, you know, live your life! I think people should do whatever makes them happy. I think they should change the narrative.”
Omarion and Apryl split in 2016 and have two children together, son Megaa Omari Grandberry, 5, and daughter A’mei Kazuko Granberry, 3.
