Prosecutors Accuse Young Thug of Alleged In-Court Drug Exchange

The Young Thug and YSL RICO saga continues as the Grammy-winning rapper faces new charges over an alleged court room drug exchange. On Wednesday Thugger was caught being handed a Percocet by co-defendant Kahlieff Adams by Fulton County prosecutors.

In the surveillance footage, Adams stood up from his seat, approached the 31-year-old unattended, and gave him the contraband. Sheriff’s deputies quickly confiscated the percocet and searched Adams who would not comply. Prosecutors claim Young Thug quickly hid his hand under the table.

Deputies found Percocet, marijuana, and tobacco amongst other contraband in Adams’ possession after they searched him. They were said to be “wrapped in plastic food seasonings to mask the odor of the marijuana.

Keith Adams, one of the attorneys on Young Thug’s team, assured WAB-TV that Young Thug didn’t know what was happening in court. Adams said, “is the truth. The reality is Mr. Williams had nothing to do with what went on in the courtroom…” He also mentioned that Young Thug was unaware that what was being handed to him was a Percocet.

The YSL head honcho and Adams are being charged with conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, among other charges.

The jury selection of this trial began two weeks ago and it’s still ongoing.
