Earlier this week, TMZ reported Stevie J filed for divorce from Faith Evans after three years of marriage. The divorce documents were filed by Stevie on Monday, Nov. 8, at the Los Angeles County Superior Court. The couple secretly got tied the knot in Las Vegas and only been married for three years.
On Nov 15th Faith Evans shut down those rumors and uploaded several videos of their beach outing, including several clips of the pair which featured herself and Stevie on the beach in Malibu, doing cartwheels. She tagged him with the caption, “Get us free, bruh! A second Evans post Faith followed up with another IG post that spoke a bit more to people minding their business with a repost that read, “Did you know there are 3 places you can stay for free? ‘In your lane’ ‘Out of my business’ and, ‘over there.’” The message was capped off with a caption that read, “right thurr” assisted by a pointing emoji.

Stevie J and Evans were linked in the early ’90s through the producer’s work with Evan’s husband, rapper, The Notorious B.I.G. Evans was married to The Notorious B.I.G. from 1994 they share a son together. She was later married to record executive Todd Russaw from 1998 to 2011. Faith Evans and Stevie J shared a 20-year long friendship before they started dating in 2016.
On May 31, 2020, Faith was arrested for serious domestic battery after police responded to a 911 call from her home, According to TMZ Sources, officers found visible marks and scratches on Stevie’s face, leading to Faith being arrested. Faith was able to post bail that day and the charges were eventually dropped.
