Travis Scott Announces First Festival Performances Since Astroworld Tragedy

After re-entering the public eye, Travis Scott is ready to hit festival stages for the first time since last year’s Astroworld tragedy that occurred in Houston, Texas. The event shocked us all as 10 fans were found dead, and hundreds were left injured. Scott is set to headline a series of Primavera Sound events, which take place in South America this fall, according to Variety.

Artists such as Lorde, Björk, Arctic Monkeys, Jack White, Phoebe Bridgers, and many others are scheduled to perform during the series.

Though the 30-year-old rapper tried to stay on the down-low for the past few months, he still had his fair share of being in the media. On February 2, Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner welcomed their baby boy. Originally named “Wolf Webster”, the couple revealed that the name no longer suited him.

In late March, Scott performed briefly at a pre-Oscars party in California, as well as a Coachella after-party this month, where he played five of his songs. This was a bold move for Scott after being removed from Coachella’s official lineup, due to the events of the Astroworld incident.
