Trump to Sign Executive Order to Temporarily Suspend Immigration to United States Due to COVID-19

Donald Trump has been criticized for his mishandling of the coronavirus but one thing he’s concerned about during the coronavirus pandemic is immigration.

POTUS tweeted that he’s signing an executive order to temporarily suspend immigration to the United States in response to COVID-19. “In light of the attack from the Invisible Enemy, as well as the need to protect the jobs of our GREAT American Citizens, I will be signing an Executive Order to temporarily suspend immigration into the United States!” he said.

Last month he temporarily suspended traveling between most of Europe, China, Canada, Mexico, Iran, and South Korea in an attempt to flatten the curve.

The suspension of all immigration is an extreme measure for Trump to take considering he didn’t really take the warnings of the coronavirus seriously, and he’s rushing to prematurely lift the stay-at-home order.

The U.S. has become the epicenter of the entire pandemic with nearly 800,000 cases, and the reported deaths have totaled more than 42,000.
