Here’s How You Can Watch the 20th Anniversary BET Award Show

Words by Andre Kettle

This year’s award show is going to be a little bit different this year given we are in a global pandemic that (hopefully) has everyone confined in their homes. The ceremony is going to be virtual for the first time this weekend, because our “culture is too big to be canceled.” The show will still be jam-packed with performances and appearances from today’s biggest stars.

Roddy Rich, Usher, Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys, Megan Thee Stallion, John Legend, Summer Walker, DaBaby, Lil Wayne & many more are set to grace the virtual stage during Sunday night’s event.

The pre-show will begin at 7 p.m. ET hosted by Terrence J and Erica Ash featuring celebrities, nominees, and special guests.

Drake is leading the nomination pack with six nods, including Best Male Hip Hop Artist, Video of the Year, Best Collaboration, and Viewer’s Choice of the Year. Runner ups are Megan Thee Stallion and Roddy Rich who each have five nominations, while Chris Brown, Lizzo, Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, DaBaby each have four nominations.

The 2020 BET Awards is set to arrive on Sunday June 28th 8p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT. The celebration will air live on BET, BET Her, BET.com & CBS.
