Many Marvel fans have been recently waiting for any more news regarding The Black Panther sequel. And while not much is known, it has been revealed that currently, the film has five scripts in the making.
This news broke in a recent interview from Entertainment Tonight. And it was because of Angela Basset, who plays Ramonda Queen of Wakanda. Over the zoom interview, Angela Basset explained that the reason why there were so many scripts. And it was because the creators are trying to find a way to work around Chadwick Boseman passing in 2020.
She states: “I don’t know what it’s going to look like at all. There have been about five incarnations of the script and I hear another one’s coming.”
Production for the sequel now named Wakanda Forever began on June 29. And many fans are curious how the team will work around Boseman’s death and who will take up the mantel of the Black Panther. While both actors, producers, and others have kept minimal silence making sure nothing leaks. Basset tells us that they have been working hard in order to keep the memory of Boseman alive.
She says: “…Ryan [Coogler] and Joe Robert Cole, they’re just such masterful storytellers that they’ve found a way into this world and hopefully it will be satisfying, I think, for the fans and it will be honorable of our Chad. We love our king.”
