Multiple Women Accuse NYC Media Influencer Blogxilla of Sexual Misconduct, Booted From Global Grind

NYC Twitter has been on fire since Monday morning after D’USSE Palooza axed their host, Chris Stylezz, for “alleged” sexual assault, manipulation, coercion, and rape claims. Another popular New York influencer, Blogxilla, was outed for similar claims.

Xilla is a “self-taught journalist who overcame insurmountable odds to become a prominent voice in entertainment,” as per his Global Grind bio. He travels all over the world and conducts press junkets for some of our favorite movies. Oprah Winfrey, Phylicia Rashad, Issa Rae, Lakeith Stanfield, Chadwick Boseman, and more actors have all had conversations with the journalist whose predatory ways are now on the spotlight.

Retired Hip Hop journalist, Lindsey India, set the tone early this afternoon firing off this revealing tweet: “Okay. Since my phone is being blown up by you with another manipulative conversation to try and keep me quiet, let’s talk about it,” she tweeted.

She went on to explain that she interned for Xilla in 2011-2012 at Global Grind and he made her so uncomfortable that she was relieved when she was offered a remote position until she eventually left to work with Karen Civil in 2014.

Xilla responded to Lindsey and admitted that “some of what” she exposed was true. “I’m aware of @LindseyIndia
‘s thread and some of what she says is true. It’s not up to me to decide someone’s level of comfort, but I wasn’t gaslighting I genuinely believe she is talented and I want nothing but the best for her,” he responded.

He f*cked up when he mentioned Karen Civil in his “accountability statement” or apology or whatever that was, and she immediately reprimanded him. “This is NOT ok. @BlogXilla, whether we’ve worked together in the past or not, does not invalidate what @LindseyIndia experienced,” Civil swiftly wrote.

Lindsey’s bravery motivated under women to come forward to share their stories. Sidnee Michelle wrote, “after speaking with @LindseyIndia & a few other women, I’ve decided to share my story.” Sid went on to tell her story about the “Global Grind” predator.

The allegations kept coming in as more and more women who were triggered by Chris Stylezz’s situation.

Blogxilla ended his apology saying, “Just because someone work’s with you doesn’t mean they are your friends and if you are friends it doesn’t give you the right to start having sexual conversations with them. I was wrong.”

But it wasn’t enough for the victims and apparently he’s been called out on sexual allegations in the past. But this was the perfect opportunity as it trended on Twitter.
