‘Bridgerton’ Becomes Netflix’s Highest Streamed Series

Netflix’s royal-themed romance drama series, Bridgerton is the biggest series on the streaming service to date.

The first season drew in 82 million viewers globally, bumping the previous record holder, The Witcher, to the No. 2 spot.

This is another milestone for Shondaland who inked a $100 million overall deal with the streaming giant.

Netflix celebrated with a “thank you” video below.

Bridgerton is based on ulia Quinn’s novels and was already renewed for a second season.

Season 1 ended with Anthony Bridgerton declaring that he’s ready to settle down and the Duke and Duchess welcoming their first child together. Will Anthony be able to find love? Will Lady Whistledown’s identity be revealed?
