Cardi B Confirms Her Sophomore Album Will Release In 2022

Cardi B announced that her long-awaited sophomore album will finally be released sometime next year. While going live on Instagram, Cardi shared the big news with her fans. “I’ve tried a lot to balance my new mother-life,” said the mother of two. “I have a lot of jobs now. I find myself in a lot of positions that take up a lot of time, and on top of that I have to release this album next year. “

Cardi B is the first female rapper with three diamond records, her collaborative Latin hit “I Like It” featuring J Balvin and Bad Bunny was RIAA certified as 10x-platinum on Monday (Dec. 13).Cardi B earned her place as one of only two female artists to have earned at least three Diamond plaques – the other being Katy Perry. The song went No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and even appeared on her 2018 debut studio album Invasion of Privacy.

In addition to releasing an album she will start filming a new film next year. In January it was announced that she had landed her first lead role in the Paramount comedy Assisted livingthat has been compared to movies like Tootsie, Sister act, and Mrs. Doubtfire.
