Cardi B Apologizes for the Portrayal of Coretta Scott King in ‘Housewives’ Parody

Cardi B has apologized to the daughter of Martin Luther King Jr. for her portrayal of the Civil Rights Movement leader’s wife, Coretta Scott King, in a parody.

TMZ posted an old video of the then-Instagram sensation/reality star starring in a 2-minute satire called “The Real Housewives of Civil Rights.” a two-minute satire that surfaced Tuesday on TMZ.  It came from entertainer Rip Michaels’ new series “Off the Rip,” which poked fun at the pettiness between Coretta Scott King and Malcolm X’s better half, Betty Shabazz, and finishes with a joke about Dr. Ruler laying down with “The Iggy Azalea of the Civil Rights Movement.”

Yet, Bernice King later expressed gratitude toward Cardi B on Twitter for reaching out and apologizing, and said she anticipated chatting with her.
