Listen: Cardi B Shares Unreleased Playboi “Bartier Cardi” Verse

Cardi B is sharing a never-before-heard version of “Bartier Cardi” which features Playboi Carti.

Originally, the unreleased verse was supposed to be on her 2017 single. However, the Whole Lotta Red rapper turned his verse in too late. The verse was supposed to be on her debut album Invasion of Privacy. In the end, the final song only featured 21 Savage.

“The only people I wanted was 21 savage & playboy carti,” Cardi wrote in a since-deleted tweet. “I actually still have Carti verse safe but he turns his verse in late. This was a trap record so I only wanted trap artist.”

Additionally, Cardi B tweets a snippet of the lost verse to show she’s telling the truth. “We poppin’ these pills, Percocets / Thought it was molly … Who you know hotter than Carti?” he raps. Apparently, the plot for the song was always meant to have Playboi Carti on it.
