Chris Rock made a surprise appearance at The Stand, a comedy club on Union Square, on Wednesday night.
It was the comedian’s first time in the spot and he reportedly felt right at home. “He’d heard about the new location, so he decided to check it out,” a source told Page Six. “He came in alone … a little after 8. He watched a few acts and then decided to hit the stage himself to work on new material.”
Chris Rock’s set was about 20 minutes long and he cracked on an array of topics including love and long-term diseases. “He joked about relationships, being in love and ‘Which is worse, diabetes or herpes?’”
The latter half of the statement definitely sounds like one of those ‘you had to be there’ moments.
