The Proud Family is getting the reboot treatment on and they look all grown up in the first look below. Disney+ unveiled the photos on Thursday.
Penny Proud is now 14 years old and “loving it,” meanwhile Trudy Proud operates her own veterinarian clinic, and the beloved Oscar Proud is “more overbearing than ever.”
We also get a first look at the “new kid on the block,” Maya Leibowitz-Jenkins, voiced by Keke Palmer.
Disney+ didn’t mention a release date for The Proud Family reboot but Kyla Pratt said it’s going to be “amazing.”
“The people who loved watching the original will absolutely love watching the [revival],” she said. “And it’s going to introduce it to people who hadn’t seen the original! I love it because we’re talking about things that animated shows normally don’t talk about, and I think that’s something that we need.”
