Drake’s “God’s Plan” took home the Grammy for Best Rap Song.
The song was up against Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, Future, & James Blake’s “King’s Dead,” Eminem “Lucky You,” Travis Scott, Drake, Big Hawk, & Swae Lee’s “Sicko Mode,” and Jay Rock and Kendrick Lamar’s “Win.”
The category was certainly a tough pick but Drake ended up victorious at the end.
When accepting his award he took the time out to explain why certain Black creatives may get overlooked or snubbed at the Grammys. Unfortunately, his speech was cut short but it was good while it lasted.
Drake took home the Best Rap Song award last year for “Hotline Bling.” Tonight he earned his fourth Grammy. It’s all God’s plan.
