Fans noticed that Eminem updated his Twitter avatar to the Bored Ape NFT that resembles him.
Blockchain publication Decrypt, reports that Em bought the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT for 123.45 Ether (ETH), which is the cryptocurrency commonly used to purchase the digital artwork.
The transaction equaled a total of $452,000 at the time.
“I’m living in a simulation,” wrote the crypto fan who sold the NFT to Em, GeeGazza. “Thank you @Eminem for buying my ape and joining the club! Madness. Let me write a lyric in your next single.”
That same user manifested that moment in November when they tweeted that Marshall Mathers was “destined” to purchase it from them.
Eminem isn’t the only celebrity on board the Bored Ape Yacht Club. Lil Baby and Post Malone, who also changed his avatar to the NFT, are all down with the Dipset.
