Eminem Releases Surprise Album ‘Kamikaze’ Executive Produced by Dr. Dre

Eminem just released an album out of nowhere on Friday (Aug. 31), marking his tenth solo studio album, Kamikaze.

The new undertaking features Joyner Lucas, Royce 5’9″ and Jessie Reyez on two tracks, and consists of 13-tracks. The last track is the rapper’s record on the Venom soundtrack.

Shady has evidently kept this venture totally under wraps, avoiding the relentless teasing that ordinarily accompanies the Detroit rapper’s projects. Before people went on to compare Kamikaze to some of his best work, he noted the album’s simplicity. “Tried not 2 overthink this 1… enjoy. ,” Em wrote as the caption for the cover art on Instagram.

Mike Will Made-It somewhat teased this project back in January when he posted pictures in the studio with Em and Dr. Dre. The studio session was evidently a productive one because Mike produced “Greatest” and the title track.

Kamikaze is a Revival follow-up, which dropped in December of 2017 and marks his quickest album turnaround since Relapse and Recovery dropped in 2009 and 2010, respectively.

Kamikaze is executive produced by Dr. Dre and Eminem. Listen below:
