A former Playboy model named Karen McDougal is the second woman this month to come forward alleging to have an affair with President Donald Trump.
McDougal is suing the company that owns The National Enquirer, American Media Inc., which paid her $150,000 to remain silent about the affair. Coincidentally, the company’s chief executive is reportedly a good friend of the POTUS. McDougal claims that Mr. Trump and AMI warned that “any further disclosures would breach Karen’s contract” and “cause considerable monetary damages.”
The other woman, adult entertainer Stormi Daniels formerly known as Stephanie Clifford, was paid $130,000 to stay quiet by the president’s personal lawyer, Michael D. Cohen. She also filed a suit earlier this month.
Both women are claiming that the contracts are invalid, and want to resolve disputes in open court rather than in secretive arbitration proceedings. Trump has denied both affairs.
