Drake and Future’s latest collaboration, “Life is Good” is certified gold after selling 500,000 copies.
The song quickly received gold status about two weeks after its release.
Both rappers take turns rapping about the life they chose, and the trials and tribulations that come with it. “Workin’ on the weekend like usual/Way off in the deep end like usual,” Drake rhymes on the chorus. “Niggas swear they passed us, they doin’ too much/Haven’t done my taxes, I’m too turnt up.”
The mid-tempo, dreamy vibe completely switches up and a trap-infused beat drops. Future follows up with his own verse accompanied with Drizzy’s chorus, “Granny, she was standin’ right there/While I catch a play on a brick, woo,” he spits on the verse. “I make them lil’ niggas go haywire/Taliban in this bitch, woo.”
Last weekend Future opened up a Hotlanta pop-up shop in Atlanta in commemoration for the song. It turned out to be a success.
