Looks like Gunna doesn’t have very good aim. The “Drip Too Hard” rapper took to his Instagram on Monday, commenting on the stand-out “Have Mercy” performance from Chlöe—half of the sister duo Chloe X Halle—at the MTV Video Music Awards.
“It’s the [tongue emoji] for me,” Gunna shared, reposting an Instagram photo that Chlöe shared of herself licking the mic mid-performance. But as Chlöe shared in her original caption, she had no clue she even licked the mic until after her debut solo performance last week.
The “Grownish” star has yet to respond to Gunna’s comments but definitely had the internet buzzing after her debut solo single dropped. Since its release on Sept. 10, “Have Mercy” has earned over 15.6 million YouTube views, and the track debuted at No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 on Monday. The track marks her highest-charting single ever.
The ‘Invasion of Privacy’ rapper dropped the bomb during an Instagram livestream on Sunday night.
