Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey, has been joining forces with powerful, Black influential figures to combat COVID-19 by providing financial relief to non-profit organizations.
Dorsey recently pledged to donate $10 million to Meek Mill and JAY-Z’s Reform Alliance. The funds will be used for Dorsey’s #SmallStart initiative and will help with coronavirus relief and provide personal protective equipment to prison staff and inmates across the United States.
“The criminal justice system needs to change,” Dorsey added. “COVID-19 adds to the injustices, and Reform is best suited to help.”
Reform CEO Van Jones said that “this level of support from a tech titan marks a turning point for the criminal justice reform movement.”
