Kanye West is infamous for changing his mind last minute, and the rapper made updates to DONDA almost two months after it was released.
The updates began on Monday, September 27th, with more updates moving through Tuesday, the 28th. However, the most notable change was the removal of Chris Brown’s vocals from “New Again.”
It’s unclear what motivated the change, but fans speculate it’s because the singer joined Soulja Boy who was upset about their exclusion from the project. Breezy called Kanye a “whole hoe” in a since-deleted Instagram story post, followed up with a preview of “The verse/chorus I mysteriously didn’t do!”
CB was replaced with the Sunday Service Choir on the hook. Kanye also removed Kenyan rapper KayCyy from “Keep My Spirit Alive” and made tweaks to the album’s mix.
