Kanye West Canceled Multiple ‘Carpool Karaoke’ Tapings, Costing ‘The Late Late Show’ $45,000

Considering that Kanye West was booked for James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke twice, it’s safe to assume that he’s vaguely interested in participating in the sing-along series. However, their schedules keep clashing. “Kanye has been booked to do Carpool Karaoke now twice and both times something came up,” Corden told British GQ at the time. Kris Jenner appeared on the  Late Late Show Tuesday night and spilled the tea about the cancellations.

“I can answer this easily,” Corden said when Jenner asked him why there’s not yet been a West edition of the segment. “This is a great question for me. He’s canceled twice, maybe even three times. He canceled once as I was turning the corner to his house. I was in a car and by the time the call finished I was sat outside his house and they were like, ‘He’s not in the zone for it right now, we’ll do it another time.'”

But Ye made up for it by gifting Corden a pair of Yeezys and flowers. West, as beforehand uncovered, at that point skilled Corden with a block of blossoms and a couple of Yeezys. “People were like ‘Whoa, they’e so expensive!’ and I was like ‘Yeah, they cost my show $45,000!’ but we love him,” Corden said Tuesday. “He’s my dream and he knows that. He’s my absolute dream.” During the show, Kris also hinted that she may be engaged to Corey Gamble.

Corden dropped the latest episode of Carpool Karaoke, featuring living legend Paul McCartney, back in June. Sadly, Kanye and Rihanna didn’t make cameos to sing their parts of “FourFiveSeconds.”
