JAY-Z and Kanye West Reportedly Quietly Settled TIDAL Lawsuit

JAY-Z and Kanye West’s brief reunion at Diddy’s 50th birthday party was no surprise to those close to them because they settled the root of the problem.

The Watch the Throne pair was in a legal battle when Ye split from TIDAL in 2017, claiming he was owed $3.5 million. This put their professional and subsequently their personal relationships on the line.

Fast forward to last weekend, the dynamic duo greeted each other and were seemingly on good terms. TMZ reports that they’ve reached an agreement in their lawsuit to satisfy both parties.

Kanye West’s first opera, “Nebuchadnezzar,” at the Hollywood Bowl streamed exclusively on TIDAL. So there’s a possibility for another collaboration from the Hip Hop power houses.

There was a strain in their relationship prior to the legal troubles. Ye was upset that Hov and Beyonce didn’t attend his wedding to Kim Kardashian, and went on a 20 minute rant about it during his 2016 tour. A couple months later Jay responded in his “Kill JAY-Z” record which was featured on his critically-acclaimed album, 4:44.

We’re glad to see that they’ve buried the hatchet because no one wins when the family feuds.
