Kanye West is the latest artist to receive the biopic treatment.
Sources report that the documentary has been in the making for 20 years and has been acquired by Netflix for $30 million dollars.
The project is set to be directed by Clarence “Coodie” Simmons and Chike Ozah — more commonly known as Coodie & Chike, who worked with Ye on “Through the Wire” and the third version of “Jesus Walks.”
The Untitled documentary will reportedly explore Kanye West’s rise to fame, the death of his mother, Donda West and how it impacted him. No stone will be left unturned: The duo will also analyze the evolution of his career, his failed Presidential run, and his impact on the fashion industry.
There is no tentative release date for this project but it will reportedly be released later this year.
